The ACES team had a great showing yesterday at State finishing in 2nd place!!!

Parker Schoonover - 4th in Engineering Graphics
Joey Tifft - 5th in Engineering Graphics


FCCLA students had a fantastic time at the State Conference and excelled in the cookie decorating competition! Congratulations on the following awards:
Gold Medalists and Most Outstanding Awards- Madelyn Dixon, Maya Toliver, and Lexie Watts
Silver Medalist- Makenna Stroud









Mercedes Levesque and Cole Sims represented CHS tonight at the Illinois Principals Association Banquet! Congratulations to both of them on their many accomplishments throughout high school!


Congratulations to this year's Prom Court!
Everyone is invited to attend the 2025 CHS Promenade and Coronation on Saturday, April 26 @ 7:00 p.m. in the Bleyer Auditorium. All students who purchased a prom ticket are welcome to walk in the promenade. Line-up for the promenade will begin at 6:30 p.m. The promenade will start at 7:00 p.m. with the coronation immediately following.


Thank you to Mr. Breeden and the CHS Art Club for our new mural in the cafeteria. When you check it out, be sure to look closely as the letters represent all of the clubs, sports, and organizations at CHS!

Future Business Leaders of America members had a successful conference last weekend! As a chapter we placed 6th in raising the most money per member for Alzheimer Awareness. The following members placed in their individual events: Katya Chyzhyk earned 9th place in Cyber Security, Nick Wilhelm achieved 6th place in Introduction to Business Concepts, Megan Harrell got 6th place in Introduction to Financial Math, Tanya Arun got 2nd place in Public Service Announcement, and Wyatt Belk got 1st Place in Introduction to Information Technology. Tanya and Wyatt have qualified for the National Leadership Conference to be held this summer in Anaheim, California. Not only was it a successful weekend for our students, but CHS teacher Allison Owen was recognized as the Illinois FBLA Adviser of the Year.

Carterville High School CTE organizations held a Spring Carnival for students at Tri-C Elementary! Everyone involved had so much fun!!!


Members of CHS Interact Club along with Mr. Swartz and Ms. Eaton took the plunge for Special Olympics today!!!


Join us next weekend for our Spring Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat!!!


CHS students recently went to the Chemistry Olympiad at SIU. Our students did very well, receiving six scholarships! A special congratulations to Nick and James for scoring high enough to continue on to the National Competition!
